Picked this up at a local nursery and it was labeled as a Pilea, however I'm quite sure its a pep. correct me if I'm wrong, but any idea on species?







it has red stems and is an upright grower..

I thought that most pepperomias had "succulent" leaves and that most pileas had hairy ones...??? With its red stems and sturdy growth habit, would be attractive in a viv. Do the pileas melt in the humid vivs???

Yeah that is true for the most part, so because the leaves are succulent I'm quite sure it's not a Pilea. I have had around 4 different species of Pilea in vivs and all have thrived and never "melted"!

I used to have this Pep. I never got a name though. I think it was an Exotic Angel plant for a short time. If it ever produces flowers, post the photos. Maybe we can find a name for it then but it's hard without locality info.
