Here is my first attempt capturing an orchid bloom in timelapse form. It is a Sophronitis Brevipedunculata and the bloom happened inside the peninsula (reason for all the bug microfauna movement) Im pretty happy with how it turned out for a first attempt. Just wish my batteries lasted longer!

Thanks Mitch. And sorry, forgot to write that here. I used my Canon xti, with my 100mm 2.8f lens, and a cheap intervolent shutter timer off ebay. 90 second shot intervals also. Next time I'll shoot 45 second intervals and slow it down while the flower opens quickly, and speed it up for other parts.

And thanks guys. I have 2 more different blooms in the tank, and I'll also be doing folliage growth/movement timelapses. I'll be adding all of them in the next peninsula video.
