I dont normally build my vivs by hand or modify them. I usually just buy em so I had a few questions. Anyone used nylon screening when building screen lids? heat/uv concerns? What about as substrate dividers? I need screening to replace some damage on a lid and had nylon lieing around. Thanks.

I use the black plastic screens as a cover for the false bottoms and I use a very fine plastic mesh sold as a UV screen (from Lowes and Home Depot) to make the vents (as the fruit flies can't fit through it).
