I have pothos pants in two of my 10gal vert tanks and they are growing out of control. Almost every air root has grown down to the bottom, attached to cork bark or attached to the bendy vines. It is beginning to look sloppy, can I break the roots off without out effecting the pants health? They have been established for about 6 months each.

Is this why it has been dubbed the"devils ivy"?

it would be pretty hard to trim it in a way that would really harm it. really if you left virtually anything in the tank its likely to come back. ive attempted to remove something very similar and had new sprouts within 2 weeks ;)
