While all of the east-coasters were at IAD I went down to St. Louis and picked up some galactonotus from Patrick Nabors. It was amazing seeing his collection, very impressive. I wouldn't ever hesitate to buy frogs from him again. Below are a few photographs of the frogs and their terrarium.

I agree. It's ironic that often large chains and home improvement stores will have a better selection of tropicals than the local garden center. It seems to be a recent change, I don't remember orchids, bromeliads or unusual tropicals ever being availible regularily at any place else than garden centers or nurseries until maybe 4 or 5 years ago but maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough. I recently saw a Nepenthes species at my local grocery store, and for only $7! I'd love to see the greenhouses of the nurseries that supply large chain stores like that, they must be massive.
