Got our first thumbnails today at the Midwest Reptile Show (props to the ladies of Quality Captives :D )....ended up with 5 vents and then decided to get a probable male-female New River tinc pair as well (thanks Sarah!!) ...we are obviously obsessed

So far the vents seem pretty active and not shy at all. Hope they stay that way. They are housed in a 29 gallon that has been set up for about a month now, full of broms from Peaceofthetropics, moss floor, ghostwood and of course, seeded with springtails

Here are some pics...hope they show up okay.

Nice looking vents Elmo. Now you will be totally addicted to thumbnails.

How are the broms doing? Looks like the vents like them.

We were there from about 11:30-1:00. You may have noticed my 6 yo twin girls running from table to table  looking at all the animals. The show was totally packed - hard to move around at times. Good show though.

Did you ask how old the frogs were. They look almost adult to me, you could probably start sexing them soon. I have the same line of vents i pretty sure from quality captives. They are some of the coolest frogs around i think. When you breed them we should do a swap, some of my offspring for some of yours. well good luck.

I didn't ask how old they are but will be keeping an eye on them. With 5 frogs I'm assuming that I have decent odds of having at least one male and one female. As to what to do with offspring, we have mostly dealt with young froglets so haven't crossed that bridge yet.

Including another pic (hopefully better than the last ones). Still trying to work out the best way to photograph our frogs.

I agree with female, but I have seen fat vent males. I would have bet money on one of my frogs being female, and then he started calling. Females get huge, especially right before they lay.
