Hi all,
I recently acquired a vrisea hieroglyphica that I mounted with some spaghnum moss on a cork bark. I read that the leaves should always be filled with water so I did just that.
After ~ 2 weeks it started to turn brown as if its rotting, but the roots are still firm.
Any tips on how to save this?

The more light the more water bromeliads seem to be able to tolerate. Not, knowing about your set up as far as light and vents goes it's hard to say. But, less or no sphagnum around the roots would probably help.

I've never used sphagnum around bromeliad bases. Their roots form just fine without it .. or at least the genera I've used -- Vriesea, Neoregelia, Aechmea, Goudaea.

From my very limited knowledge of plants, I think broms still need to dry out. I don't think they should always be filled with water. Here's a snippet from the pin in the plants channel on broms.
"Since it is so humid in a terrarium, most neos will do fine being watered once a week if the axils have water in them. Do not over water them as they do need to dry out some from time to time."
