So here is the deal I can get zoomed cages and exoterra cages at wholesale price and I was wondering what to go with. I have had them both in the past and currently but I just wondered what everyone else thought and possibly some pros and cons of them.

zoomed. I like the single front door and for me it was easier to remove the screen and glue in plexi glass.

I like zoomed better as well. IMO the single door looks much better than the double doors. The exo terras do seem easier to find though...

It would depend on what you are looking to do w/ your tanks. For sheer aesthetics I do perfer the single large door on the zoo meds, however, there are reasons to use the twin doors of the exo-terra tanks -such as there is only half as much open area for squirrelly critters to make the mad dash escape from when you've got the door open for maintenence.

Overall, I do like the hardware features of the exo-terra's better, but for a more "dedicated" display tank I'd use a single pane zoo med tank.

My biggest issue with zoomed us the sizes. There are like 3 times as many sizes of exoterra tanks, so I usually pick a size that zoomed doesn't make. A single panel door on a three foot long tank would be hard it would seem.

12x12x18's I would go with the single door of a zoomed. anything bigger I like double doors that way i can open only one door and limit open area for excape. all but two of my current vivs are exo ohh and the 75gal. i have two more 12x12x18 zoo meds sitting in the garage. No idea what I am going to do with them though. Maybe williamsi

I have both and I prefer the exo to the zoo med when it comes to feeding because I only have to open one door and there is less worry of escape. On the other hand, the zoo meds do seem to be a little more pleasing to the eye because of the large single glass door.

I only have one zoomed that I use as quarantine tank but the latch seems pretty solid.

They both have their pros & cons, I use & enjoy both. I don't really have a preference these days, so I've ended up with more ZM's than exo's just because they're a few bucks less apiece.

I have 4, two have been used for ~2 years.. so far, so good.

Exo Cons:
Rusty not-Stainless Screening that needs to be replaced
Crossed Plastic Pieces Across Lid making lighting less convenient (unless you are using Exo's hoods)
Latch can accidentally be left unlocked (Doesn't sound like a problem 'till it happens )

Exo Pros:
Sold in a lot of places - these are easier for smaller stores to get
Easier to ship (so it's often cheaper to get these shipped)
Available in kits for excellent prices
Available with tons of add-ons (Stands, thermo/hygros that mount to lights, etc)
Double door to prevent escapes

Zoo Med Cons:
Older versions had issues with latches
Older versions had QC issues
Only sold up to 18x18x24

Zoo Med Pros:
Single glass pane for clearer viewing
Price is usually less expensive
Easier to FF proof the lid
Stainless Steel Screen

Luckily a bunch of the add-on features work with either terrarium. After using & selling both, it's a pretty close bet. They are both good units.

100% yes. Zoo Med will send you free (updated) latches to replace your broken ones if you ask them.
