A couple of curious imitators.

Pair - Yellowbacks. This pair spent most of the afternoon amplexing.

These little tricolors run free in the open rainforrest exhibit. It took a couple minutes to find them but once I did they literally jumped into my shots. There are dozens of these little darts singing all day. I spent a couple hours just watching them play tag and chase after calling males. This was the best part of my trip to the NAIB. These frogs are DEFINATLY the next on my list to own. Who's got any forsale?

Basically I was walking down the steps from the rain forrest exhibit and heard their call. They were pretty much living under the steps. So I sat for a good two or three minutes looking for movement, it didn't take long. They are also in other places besides under the steps, just look around the leaf litter.

I didn't see much of the Austrailian stuff, I basically just went to see the frogs today, but from the outside its looking HUGE.

Kyle those are good examples. You can really see how beefy the terriblis look.

Rocks? I guess because I zoomed in it looks like foam, but these frogs were free roaming in this giant walk in enclosure. I picked one up, they are real rocks.

Well this wasn't fighting, but you are correct. I sorta cheat when I use the term to describe the typical breeding behavior where the female strokes the male's back. Is there a word for that? haha. I use amplex too loosely with my friends, sorry for the miscommunication and thanks for keeping me on track!
