I added springtails and isopods to my tank about 3 weeks ago. Every couple of days I turn over a piece of cork bark, or look under the leaf litter, to check on the little guys. The isopods have seemed to be doing pretty well but I haven't been able to spot any springtails...until today! Turned over a piece of bark and there they were! Just scurrying around doing springtail stuff. I've never been so happy to see little bugs.

As a follow up, is the mold growing on the underside of this cork bark the right kind? The tank smells fine (quite nice actually, in my opinion) and all the plants are growing well. I just wanted to double check.

Thanks for reading my happy rant.
