This little guy popped up yesterday and has since grown to a couple inches or so. Any ideas on its name? Thanks in advance!

For starters, you should post it here because it's an awesome mushroom. But it's too soon to identify properly. We need to see the gills and maybe even a spore print. Once the veil separates from the cap is when someone can try to guess.

I don't know, but it reminds me of these small mushrooms I had coming up in one area of my tank. You definitely got some better photos than I did.

Here are some of the final life stages for the shroom. I have to say, “happening upon” fungi in my living room is one of the coolest parts of the hobby. At this point, I’m thinking of letting it decompose — or should I remove it? Thanks for all the feedback!
