So not actually a plant thing, but within the category of “things growing in a viv”?
Just wanted to document my surprising first mushroom—it’s gotten huge, and fast. I first noticed it Friday afternoon. Then saw it doubled in size by the next day. I was just checking temps before going to bed and couldn’t help but notice it had really exploded in size over the course of the evening, since their lights go out at eight and I had last glanced into the viv. Here’s the progression.

I have no clue what this species it, but it seems to be fairly common and somewhat hardy, at least compared to other mushrooms - it even appears in lower humidity tanks (e.g. desert tanks with 50% or lower humidity) usually a week or so after a good watering.

if you can get a shot of it from above, from below, and a cross section there are some FB groups that will ID it for you

A google search seems to indicate this is a common “yellow houseplant mushroom”. I think it’s hit its peak now, is slowly withering.
