The male imi deposited the only tad we've seen in a film canister that also has 2 eggs deposited on the top outside of the film canister.
Do I need to mess with it at all to make sure the eggs aren't molding, or just leave it alone?

I'm trying to do searches to see if moving a film canister holding eggs or a tad will keep the parents from caring for the tad.

I have seen the breeding pair going into the axils of the large brom in their viv and calling, with the female backing down into it. So I'm guessing there may be a tad in there as well.

One more question. I think I saw somewhere that it's @ 4-6 weeks to morph out. Is that correct?

Congrats on your success with your imis! I think it's actually closer to 8 weeks for the tads to morph. Although I've heard higher temps can make it occur sooner (not sure if that's a good thing.) My oldest one hatched on 3-4, so he'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and is just starting to venture his way towards the edge of the water. I imagine he should be out by the end of the weekend or the beginning of next week.

As far as the eggs on the outside of the film canister...I think I'd be more worried that they would fall off once the tad gets big enough to start wiggling around.

Should I consider pulling those eggs then? If they are fertile I'd hate for the tads to fall the whole way to the bottom.

Tads are pretty hardy.. If they fell off the the canister onto the ground I think they'd be okay for the parents to get them and transport them. It's not that big of a drop compared to the wild.

You can remove them using a slerpie straw. And place them in a petri dish Usually I wait till the tads start to form alittle to know which side is up and also to know they a furtile.
