I Just picked up a log of mopani wood for a new build and it has a lot of sharp points on it. I am wondering if I need to worry about sanding down all of them or will it be safe for the frogs if the log to be left how it is?
Wouldn’t hurt but if you look at pictures you'll see brom's with barbs along the outer leaf edge, I’ve seen my frogs jumping right on top of them and have to wonder how they're not getting impaled. I use Mopani and have never bothered sanding it; some of the edges probably soften up with the added humidity.
