Molding Brom

One of the broms I placed in my tank ("Midget") is molding at it's base. Is this Ok? Should I be concerned? The brom is placed high up on my stump piece, very close to the light and there's no way it's sitting in too much moisture.

It looks like its just the older dead stuff molding. Dont give up on it yet
