I've noticed some mold or fungus growing in my newly planted viv. I've heard it's common for this to happen but it seems to only be growing on my wood pieces which are in close proximity to a plant.
I'm just worried the mold will take over the tank before I can even put frogs in it.

There are springtails in the tank but they don't seem to be affecting the mold in any way. Any tips on what I should do here?

have you got springtails and woodlice in there?
if so, they'll clear it up in no time, just leave them to get on with it.
they love the stuff.

Yeah there are springtails in there. I also heard that putting a slice of cucumber in there for the springtails to feed off of will make them reproduce and multiple faster to clean the tank
