Ok, so the guy I get my crickets from said that his supplier found mites in their crickets and he did too. When I got home earlier I decided to look in my tanks to be safe and found that two of my ten gallons have mites. One is empty, and the other I have a tarantula. The tanks are about to undergo a major clean up and i was wondering if i could boil things like the coco huts and other furniture in the tanks instaed of just throwing them out. Would this work?

Yes, boiling will kill them off. I microwave or boil my substrates and charcoal before setting up springtail and isopod cultures to kill off any potential eggs.

So i could even boil the substrate and it wont do anything wierd on me?
