Just wanted to hear people's opinion on misting in general and of the purpose of it.Is it necessary to mist that often if humidity stays high for days in a row(no less than 90%)why or why not? what are the purposes of misting besides keeping humidity high?(if any) benefits/pros/cons/side effects/ etc.

(I tried searching for info pertaining to the subject but didn't find anything in regards, figured it would be a good topic,if it needs to be moved to beginners section please do so)

Thanks!

Pros. -- It promotes breeding. It becomes obvious that many/most frogs like it when they come out hunting after a good misting. The mist seems to stir up the microfauna which triggers the hunt. Males will begin calling after a nice in-viv rainstorm. It waters the plants. It provides moisture for the frogs to absorb through their skin, remember, frogs don't drink.
Cons. -- The only cons I can think of only apply if you failed to design your viv properly. Did you forget a drain or a siphon tube? That could be an issue. Did you fail to use a well aerated, well drained substrate? Did you neglect a proper false bottom or Leca?
Remember, these "cons" only apply if you failed to build your viv properly.
