They are not dart frogs, but are similar in many ways. Most like it a bit cooler than some darts can tolerate, do well in groups, stay a bit smaller than many larger dart frogs, breed more seasonally than Dendrobatids, have larger clutches of eggs, and except for one or two species Mantellas do not transport and raise tadpoles like dart frogs do.I thought I saw mantellas in the group with the dart frogs. Though, on the forum here they are listed in a different section under other amphibians, thus I'm taking it they aren't. How do they compare to dart frogs? Diet/environment similar? Thanks
