Anyone else out there brew their own beer at home? I have a question for the homebrewers if there are any others on this board. Wondering if I could incorporate the spent liquid brewers yeast [same thing as powdered brewers yeast] in my cultures? Anyone experimented with that? I have access to LOTS of it.

The yeast is dormant but can "come back to life" if given sugar. Wondering if I should kill it with a 10min boil. I think I can sense an experiment coming. :)

You could try just rinsing it or "acid washing" it. If you give a search on the homebrewing forums you can find threads about washing it. You can even save it for another batch of beer :D
