I use a T5 aquarium light with two 6500k bulbs. a little expensive it but my luec tank is growing so well with no problems

You could also buy an Exo Terra Compact light hood and put 6500k daylight CFL bulbs in them.

I know that Josh's frogs has them.

6500K is the proper color temperature.

Just use CFL's if its a small tank, or use T8 or T5 if its a big tank....use enough watts to make it nice and bright.

With 6500k cfl bulbs, aim for about 2 watts per gallon.
