Hello all, i'm in the very beginning stages of setting up a 40 gal long tank for some D. tinc azueres (which wont be for awhile) and i need a screen top and a light for it, anyone have a link to a place that would have those for the cheap? Possibly a light fixture that can take a few CFLS? Cause I have a ton of 6700 and 6500k bulbs so that would be nice. I plan on keeping tons of plants in there:eek:rchids, a few CP's other standard stuff like broms. Thx in advance!

Dart frogs like high humidity and a screen lid wouldn't allow that. Measure the inside rim of the tank and get a piece of glass cut to fit over it. Look for light fixtures at Wal-mart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Keep researching (search functions great!) and good luck!
I do a partially covered screen top using plastic (clear) shelf liner....maintains 80% humidity for my exoterra tanks when used in the front portion of the screen lid...
Thx for the replies guys! Does anyone know where I could get a partial glass/screen top already made with-out having to make one mayself or a lightfixture i don't have to make?
If you want an already made glass top, you can get one that fits whatever tank you have from a pet store. These lids are usually glass with a 2-3" section of flexible plastic/plexiglass on the back strip that can be adjusted. If you want screen, just don't use that plexiglass piece and put in a small screen ventilation strip.
