I'm looking for an LED light to put on a 24" cubed tank. I've boiled it down to a spectral design LED system and the Fluval Plant 3.0 system. Both have a mix of R/B and white LEDs. I like the control feature of the Fluval as it allows you to customize the blend of light spectrum to the viewers desired lighting whereas the Spectral designs are on/off. I also light how SPectral design can have a wider (deeper) build with space between the light rows possibly adding to the amount of surface area the light can touch, whereas the Fluval is build as a narrower strip of light, thats it. Please add in your thoughts on the both of these lights or another light you recommend!

One advantage to SD panels is that they are modular, and so are repairable in the case of component failure (controller/dimmer, power supply, even the cords are simple off the shelf barrel connectors if you have a cat that chews), and I'm willing to bet that Kurt would fix a panel with failed LEDs if it were needed.
