Check the morph guide. They are listed as new rivers if I'm thinking right. I have a thread called kutari tinc. The tinc morph guide was attached. I can attach it when I get home from work. It should make searching for tinc morphs and names easier

Im wondering if anyone out there has any photos to show a Koetari vs a New River?

These from my understanding are much deeper blue than the New Rivers ,Blue Sipaliwini or Azureus morphs of Dendrobates tinctorius.

And further more it seems as if the Koetari are almost gone from the hobby these days.

update

new river

kutari

these are two pics i found just a few minutes ago. hope it helps. i typed the bottom in first.......Sorry hope it helps!:D

Colourmorph 18.
Name:D. tinctorius.
'Blue Sipaliwini / New River / Kutari River'.
Country: Surinam/Guyana. (Brasil?)
Photo: Taken in terrarium
Reliability: 100% real morph.
Locality & info: There are two locality's beside the New River (in Surinam called Boven-Corantijn River). One locality is in Surinam and the other is in Guyana. Also the Kutari River is the same area. This area is in dispute between Surinam and Guyana. There are imported species from both locality's, so it's difficult to say where 'your' frog is from. This is the information that i was given about the frogs when i asked about them myself. I seen a reference about them here on db and went searching for them. On the thread that i started i eas sent to /www.tropical-experience.nl This is where the information above came from. Keep us posted as I to would love to have a set of this frogs.

If memory serves me right, Sean and I had talked about how the Koetari's black blurs into the blue. it doesnt seem to have the nice crisp edges around the markings like other tincs. Obviously Im sure there may be exceptions to this but that is one difference I remembered when you posted those photos.

Ill have to look thru emails and old files to see if I can dig up the photos Sean had sent me years ago. They are a gorgeous shade of blue.
