Canon has a rebate program running right now. It ends January 31st.

If you buy just a Digital Rebel (300D) you get $100 rebate, combine that with an eligible lens - such as the EF 100 f/2.8 USM Macro and you double the rebate on the camera AND lens. If you purchase yet another eligible product like the EF 180 mm f/3.5 L USM Macro you get triple the amount of the rebate on all three items. You are only eligible for up to triple the rebate amount.

So a 300D (Digital Rebel) normally costs $780
- just for buying the body you get a $100 rebate
- final price $680 (saving you $100)

-----

Buy the 300D with EF 100 f/2.8 USM Macro
- 300D goes from $780 down to $580 (doubles the $100 rebate)
- EF 100 f/2.8 USM Macro goes from $470 down to $430 (doubles the $20 rebate)
- final price for both items $1010 (saving you $240)

-----

Gets even better is you add the EF 180 mm f/3.5 L USM Macro
- 300D goes from $780 down to $480 (triples the $100 rebate)
- EF 100 f/2.8 USM Macro goes from $470 down to $410 (triples the $20 rebate)
- EF 180 mm f/3.5 L USM Macro goes from $1220 down to $1070 (triples the $50 rebate)
- final price for all three items $1960 (saving you $510)

[prices are from bhphotovideo.com, a NYC company with an excellent reputation]

This is a good deal if you are in the market.

Kyle,

I hope you don't mind the questions, but I had to ask because of all the incredibly crisp photos you have been posting. What do you want an external flash to do that most cannot? Which external flash did you finally go with and what do you like most about it?

I noticed that you love your 100 2.8 macro lense. What other lense would you recommend to compliment the 100 2.8 macro and why (i.e., EF single, EF zoom or another EF special lense)?

What are the limitations of having 6.3 megapixels as opposed to 8.2 MP, as in the EOS 20D? Is it the ability to print extra large prints with the same clarity as smaller prints?

Thanks,

David

internal flash = flash built into the camera

The bracket is to mount it to the camera, but they do not make many that will do what i want.
