Hello everyone,

I have been missing for quite some time on the forums. Due to some health problems I had to give up the hobby for a few years, but am happy to be preparing to jump back in. I am currently starting to slowly collect necessities like wood, plants, lights, and other trinkets for the tanks I am planning. There have been many discussions about wood types that are suited for vivs. I have come across a large ugly post that is covered in an amazing array of thick ivy vines. By thick I mean .5" to 1.5" in thickness. So my question is does anyone have any experience with the longevity of thicker ivy vines? It would be really nice to strip them off the pole and attach them onto walls / branches in the tanks. Any insight is appreciated on this matter. Oh... forgot to mention the post was cut down over 3 years ago so the vines are completely dry.

And once again... so happy to be getting back into things. It has been too long.
