wouldnt the apihids that get away from the frogs begin feeding on the plants in the vivarium. im a newbie so correct me if im wrong

Dartfrogs love aphids, as this video by frankdrewes shows, and provided they are collected from a clean, chemical-free area, they are a great way of diversifying your frogs diet:
