In my search for the smallest feeders I could get my hands on, I was given a nice little colony of "mini springtails" and would like to ID them. I'm hesitant to call them springtails as they don't spring!

Here are my "standard" springtails:

The camera I'm using didn't have a problem catching the 2mm little suckers. Now, here are the "mini springtails":

They are so tiny thats the best I could do with the same camera, same settings. They are shiney so the flash tended to wash out their silver color. I'm culturing them the same way as the springtails, and the colony is just starting to take off, so at least their care isn't that different.

Any ideas?
