It would be simple enough to re-create the site as is, as a starting point. As long as the original author and contributors are cited, I don't see it as a problem. If anyone else does let me know.
I could do it in a few hours, just not this weekend.
But if there's interest, and in the spirit of information sharing, I think it would be a noble endeavor.
Any thoughts?

It is done!
Well, it's not done because I now need everyone's help. The initial site is copied with some new content, but we're missing morphs, we need pics, we need better descriptions almost across the board. Many of the pics have benefited from the new format (and some color/contrast correction). But I did the initial heavy lifting.
Presenting: Auratus Morphs Resurrected:

Now go there, check it out, and figure out if and how you can help.

Wow! That looks great!

I'm a Ranitomeya guy, and so don't have any knowledge or pics to contribute. The site increases my interest in auratus, though. Hmm...another viv...:)

Thank you for putting that site together, Ravage. It is impressive, and adds to our hobby.

Perhaps Ranitomeya is next. It was really fun to do, but it's always time permitting. That took me one day- and all the data was already there. It's actually interesting how much better many of the images were than they appeared on the archive.
The web is still an amazing place. It was built to allow for the free exchange of information. Me too. Over time we can consolidate info in a user friendly format, and that's what I call: win win.

So anyone out there that knows auratus- we're waiting for you.

It is tough getting Auratus pictures, they just don't get that they could be famous and on a website! my highland bronzes are actually out and about a lot these days, but the slightly fuzzy pic in the banner is the best one I've gotten yet.
My oldest son says he's going to build a vivarium and just tell people he has highland bronze, because no one would know the difference. A very 20- something compliment.
