I have a few of these (started as 1) growing in several tanks. The photos are of the biggest one. I have no idea what it is, but the bottom side of the leaves almost GLOW pink. Very cool plant.

This next pic is really bad but should give you an idea of how it grows.

Any ideas?

Pretty sure it's an Oyster plant- Rhoeo spathacea

I could be wrong though!!

I think you are correct! I googled that name and got lot's of similiar looking plants. Tradescantia spathacea, although the T.s. Variegated seems to look closer to what I have. GREAT plant! Photos do not do it justice at all!

i think rhoeo spathacea is the same plant as tradescantia spathacea. I'm pretty sure they are related to wandering jew. Don't quote me on that, i could be wrong haha. Awesome looking plant nonetheless. Where did you get yours?

I bought a tank from another member and it was in there. It has since started growing like crazy. Several pups, and one of the pups has pups!
