OK so I have found this brom on eBay and was wondering if it was viv material. Its called Bromeliad neoregelia mini pearl and was wondering about it. it says its Max growth is 18" and would it outgrow a 20 gallon long. Also what about water holding capacity. Thanks Brian

A trimmed Brom ? Doesn't sound pretty at all.

The Minnie Pearl that I know stays fairly small... Unless you water and feed it a lot, then it gets bigger, but I don't think 16"... Are you sure that is the span of one growth? A multiple growth plant could get that big.

is this a good brom for a vivarium or is it more ornamental. plus does it hold water well and info on this plant is helpful thanks brian

whether it hold water or not depends on the plants themselves...for example, some fireballs will hold enough water for a tad in each "cup", while some wont hold any water, so that question cant really be answered 'yes' or 'no'...

Looks a little big for anything under 75gal size vivs. It does hold water.
