This is my first vivarium. Will hopefully house some P. Terribilis this upcoming March. I really followed Troy Goldbergs youtube to make this and as such I covered the entire bottom with sheet moss. Since than it has not been doing well and most of it is brown/dead. Can I simply cover it with leaves and let it break down or should I remove it from the vivarium as it will cause excess bacteria growth? My dwarf whites and springtails are really chowing down on it and I would lose a lot if I removed it.

You can definitely just cover it up with leaf litter. Its just more organic material for the clean up crew and then eventually, the plants that are still alive.
