I have just started building my viv, and was wondering how many? I plan to get Dendrobates azureus or Dendrobates auratu. I was thinking 4 but if I am successful with offspring I would like to keep two of them as well. Viv size 16''x32''14'' planted with some ledges.

these are territorial animals which should be kept in pairs or 2.1 trios only. if you want a group, you should look into a different frog. leucs and some phyllobates come to mind, but mantella are the obvious best choice IMO.

Thanks now that you say that I remeber reading that. There is so much information on here I think I gone into overload.
