Hey ya'll. sorry for the dumb question, but how do you get the avatar pic under 80 pixels by 80 pixels and under 6 kbs?

I've done it before, but its time to update and I have no idea how I did it before. I've been screwing with the darn pic for a week now and I can shrink it and distort it, but cant get it below 6 kbs and for some reason cannot figure out how to get it to 80 by 80 pixels.

what i did was i used a photo program to get it to be under 80x 80 pixles then i used microsoft paint to shrink it in size by clicking on the lower right hand corner and resizeing it that way it doesnt become distorted...

Go into MS paint and go Image > Stretch/Skew

Stretch your image to whatever % you think it should be ( <100% to shrink it). Do vertical and horizontal by the same amount so it doesn't distort.

After that is done save the file as a jpeg.

I've done that, but it still is WAY over the 6 kb size limit.

I got it finally. I cannot beleive that paint is the program that finally worked! I tried and gave up about a week ago on paint. oh, well, I guess its good I got it workin. thanks to everyone!
