Hello,
New member. Long time dart frog enthusiant!!!

I am planning to get D. azureus. I have a 10 gallon. How many frogs can I put in there? (Cause I understand they get territorial) What substrate should I use? What plants have you guys used in your vivariums?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hello and welcome,

Different members will give you a different answer for your question.
Personally, I like the 10 gallons/frog rule. Personally I use 15 gallon/frog. Therefore for one 10 gallon tank I would recommend one frog. I know some very experienced successful hobbyist that keep a pair in a 10 gallon tank but I would not recommend that unless you have experience with frogs or other herps.

Good luck

In a 10 gallon you can have a pair of azureus. I have kept and bred MANY tinc pairs in 10 gallon with no problem at all. Do a search on substrates and plants.

Research is your friend. If you do a 10 gallon be certain that it is set up to maximize the useable space for the frogs. Take a look through the members frogs and vocations threads to get some ideas.
