Growing out of a Christmas Cactus outside (a CC in poor shape cuz it catches all my brom watering), I figure it for a fern but not sure. anyone care to guess what it is? I have taken several small ferns from around my pool and planted pots and moved them inside to a viv after a thorough cleaning and I was wondering what this may turn into.

Definitely a fern. Polypodium maybe?

Looks like a juvenile Acrostichum danaeaefolium to me, which gets ginormous. I grow a ton of ferns from spore at work, and I've grown that one when I was back in South Texas, not up here in the cold northern reaches of USDA zone 7, y'all.

Hey mark used to get those when i used soils from out side. It gets huge! Remeber the large one that used to be in the small drago viv I had. Thats looks exactly like the way it started.

Thanks for the input, still in with the Christmas Cactus, where it will stay....as I will be the only really huge thing in my house.
