I built this box out of the hard pink foam board and I had an idea. I want to build a “face” for it and the face will have a substrate barrier and sliding glass doors and ventilation at the top. Basically turning it into a big vivarium. I believe they the foam should be sealed? Or can I just put hygrolon over it? I guess I mean is it that we’re trying to keep the frogs from touching it or it leaching into the water that might be at the bottom of the tank? Does that make sense?

I'm very interested to see how this comes along. I've kinda been toying with some similar ideas for lower cost/ upcycled tanks. I would go with epoxy over the silicone or if you really hate yourself some fiberglass.

Please keep us posted how this comes out. I think you're onto something here.

Very interesting idea. You may want something covering the pink. I think it degrades in sunlight, it might do something similar under lights over a long period of time.
