Ah, you are fortunate to be so close to many options for supplies. I have been finding the Expos helpful as many vendors have sales. Maybe you attend those also. I find it's a good opportunity to see what is out there and who the vendors are.

I am I have attended 2 already have dealt with a few dealers I did keep reptiles and amphibians about 20 years ago but so much has changed
