See if you can find information on the product after it's cured in the MSDS. It would describe it's "safety". I was going to be doing some experimenting with similar products at some point soon.

I haven't used it personally but I do know someone who did. This person may have gotten a bad batch or somthing but a fter 6 weeks it was still tacky and never did really dry. I would look into use a product called "Waterlox". Its a tung oil based product and is very durable. I used it my wood counter tops which get the crap abused out them and has held up with out a problem.
