anyone else working with the giant grey springtails? They seem not to produce quite as well (maybe half as much as my regular springtails) but their size more than makes up for it(full size adult get to about the size of a 3/16th inch cricket).

mondo grey springs

Hey Sean,

I have a few cultures that I'm trying. It seems I'm not doing very well. They are remaining alive but I can't find any babies. These were found in an oak leaf litter and I have one culture set up with that litter. Others are set up similar to my tropical and temperate types. How do you keep
yours? What are you feeding them?

I have a few cultures of them. One consists of maple leaf litter and the other is flowering cherry leaf litter. They're both producing, but I think I put too much food(just some rotten vegetables) in with them. I was getting a good amount of them. I have them setup in sterilites with peat moss on the bottom, then their food, cardboard, and then their leaf litter.
