That looks like a small piece of sphagnum moss to me.

I thought it pretty unlikely to be eggs, but it is clear, or translucent....could that be sphagnum?

looks like...

...snail eggs, or something similar. I would just remove it and not worry about it.

oh well.....actually it's a good thing. I can't handle anything else on my plate right now.
