Hi:
I notice many of you use foam for a background. At Home depot they carry Foamular Insulated Sheathing -Extrude Polystyrene (XPS) insulation? It is pink in color and comes in several thicknesses...is this safe to use in a vivarium?
Thanks in advance.
I am in the process of using it for a viv now, however I cant say how sucessful it will be as I have never used it before. I have seen a lot of people on here use it for carving rocks and other thing for backrounds, then covering it with concrete. seems to work well for them. try doing various searchs for rock wall builds. sorry, but I cant seem to remember the thread, otherwise I would post the link for you.

Oh ok...thank you for the information. I am going to try using it to make a tree stump. That is why I wasn't too sure how the GS would adhere to it. Do you think the silicone would adhere to the foam and the the GS? Thanks for your help!
