This is my first clay background I just finished planting it and am now going to get some imitators unless someone has a better suggestion. Thanks for the feed back.

I was wondering how long it has taken for moss to cover peoples clay backgrounds any feed back would be great.

Tank looks great man!!1 Moss can take anywhere from three months to a year depending on the humidity, light, and water. Also depends on the moss...java moss grows real quick for me as star moss is real slow for me

It took moss a couple weeks to start growing on my clay background. This is sphagnum moss and I seeded tiny pieces of live sphagnum onto the clay.

It's just starting to grow. Here's a pic that shows it a little beind the film canister. When I first put it on, you could hardly see it, so, it's been growing pretty quickly.
