how long did it take you as a master at culturing FF's it took me at least 7 months to be great at culturing FF's and also what are some tips you can give nubbies to culture great FF's like good products and simple tips on how to stay on track with maintaining a good sistem

1. no need to buy culture cups and waist $10 99c store is the way to go with 16oz cups, coffee filters, rubber bands, Idaho potatoes, ex......

2. mix a cheep d3 vitamins in your culture for the media

I just use the media from Josh's Frogs and my output is insanely high for melanogaster. The first culture was a bit of a nail-biter because it wasn't producing as quick as I thought, but then it took off. Everything else after that has been a piece of cake. I recommend, for melanogaster, to start a new culture a week to two weeks after the old one really starts producing like crazy, as those flies are genetically strongest and will produce better cultures.
