Ok I have a question on feeding tads. How does everyone feed the spirulina/chlorella mix? Its too fine to use your fingers. Any ideas?

a couple ideas

I have mixed a small amount in water and then added the mix to their container.

I have seen a salt/pepper shaker used.

I'll give you a call and give you some other ideas.

I mix spir, clor, and stinging nettle with water in a pudding type mix and place it on plastic wrap. Leave it over night and it will harden. Then I break apart the blob and feed the chips to my tads. It keeps the water clean and the tads eat a lot, since its centralized.

I use Patrick's mix and scoop up a small amount with the end of a plastic spoon, the handle end.I put it in the deli cup and spray it with a misting bottle until it sinks.

Its just as it sounds. Stinging nettle is a vicious plant that makes good tad food. I learned about it from http://hometown.aol.com/caplants/babyfrogs.html and have used it ever since. Its just something else for the little buggers to munch on. Any gnc will have it.

I grind it up, since I got both as tablets, and then just dump some in with a spoon. I will sometimes mist the cup or container so that it sinks into the water. I also feed using some other fish foods and stuff, trying a couple different things to see what works best for my frogs. I also think it isn't a bad idea to mix up their food like you do for the adults. I am going to try some of the stinging nettle as well.

John Gideau has gotten me into using Sera Plankton Tabs. It a German fish food and is hard to find.
