Ok. So I was wondering about El Dorado's. I have seen red spotted dorado and the yellow dorado in pictures and it got me wondering... Are these morphs(?) ok to mix like bastimentos or should they be kept like red spotted-red spotted, yellow-yellow? Or can you keep them red spotted-yellow? Don't think of me as trying to mix them I was just wondering...

If it is just variation within one population, then yes you can mix the two together. Otherwise you would probably end up line breeding for those certain colors, and there is no reason to split based on minor color variations. The reason you would want to keep them separate is if you are not positive whether or not they are from the same population in the wild (i.e. two different import years without locale data from importers/exporters). In that case, it's usually better safe than sorry so we would try to keep them separate.
