I have had a pair of vents for just over two years now and the female hasnt laid any eggs--she at times responds to the male's calling and seems to follow him around a bit, but I have never seen her lay anything. Pair is in a 10gal vert tank in high humidity with a water source for laying. Everyone I ask seems to agree that the setup is more than adequate. Weird thing is that the female is swollen up like a blood-engorged tick, and is so fat that I am afraid she is going to pop. I dont overfeed the pair. Anyone have any suggestions? The pair is otherwise healthy and active...

Thanks,

Sal

I'm assuming you've heard calling from the male? Is it possible that you have one large and one small female? If the conditions are even close to appropriate, and the pair is compatible, you should have seen eggs long ago. What kind of egg laying sites do you use? Mine ignore all film canisters and only lay in 2 axils of one bromeliad.
