east of red frog beach

Here are some shots of a group of frogs collected east of RFB, they have been in the hobby for many years and breed true to the fine spotting pattern unlike cemetary populaion frogs which are much more random.

The "gold" frog is a cemetary offspring of solid orange parents similar to the one in the foreground.

Ray, did you see anything like this in your travels there?

thanks
ERic

I like that you post just knowing that I am going to see this and check it out...haha. Am I THAT predictable, Eric?

We actually didn't see any consistently fine spotted population but rather mixed populations near hospital point. We would see ones like this:

right next to ones like this:

Btw, do hold some of those for me... :)
You found those by Hospital Point on Solarte?

I've found the fine spotted frogs around RFB. Definitely one of my favorite Bastimentos morphs (I know, I know, some will say that they're not a morph since there is likely gene flow between the populations, but they're true breeding, so that counts for something!).

On bastimentos. That is what Chris called the location.
Gotcha, and that's over by the cemetery?
We were right across from hospital pt on solarte but on bastimentos. There was a nice stiairway up to the top of the property.

Yes, Richard/ Mike/ and I did take a bunch of Cemetery pics ....the gravestones were amazingly old...

We did not visit RFB

Here are some of the Bastis I saw

Yea, it's really cool to actually see frogs hopping over the tombs.
Here's a few shots of pumilio at the cemetery on Bastimentos, Hospital Point on Solarte/Nancy Isle and Red frog Beach. These were taken in 2007.

The first four shots are from the cemetery, some of the frogs were hiding in the fake flowers on the graves.

The next five shots are from Red Frog Beach.

The last two shots are from Hospital point on Solarte.

Just a couple more pics of this same locality. These are bred from fine spot parents, but both lack a lot of black markings. You can only see the sides on the old girl, but she has less markings than her baby in the second pic.
