For those of you who have long-running drip walls, two questions. What type of pump do you use for it. Secondly, what kind of substrate do you have (as far as dirt medium) so as to not clog the pump or dirty the water too much.

Justin,

I have send a private message how to do it.

I am also considering this with a tank and would also be very interested in this information. Would you be willing to send it to me as well?

Thanks in advance,
Jan

I'm another one looking for info on this topic. Is there a way to send me the info too, or post it? Thanks. Mabey we could get some pics here of our drip walls in construction.

In our 90 gallon we have a medium sized Beckett fountain pump from Home Depot connected to a Toro dripper attachment for sprinklers. We have 4 smaller hoses which relay the water to seperate areas of the enclosure. The pump has been going since late last summer.

We also have a Duetto filter in a 50 gallon that has been running for over a year and a half, but it is not pumping water (obviously) to the same height as in the 90 gallon.

Drip Wall

I did not like the fact that my drip wall carried soil with it at first. I fixed this by elevating my drip wall over the false bottom of my vivarium and then placing a foam barrier in front of the drip wall to contain the soil. It has worked very well.
