Does anyone have a drainage schematic? I have a wire rack that I am putting 4 vertical 10 gallon tanks with misting heads and a drain. Under that will be two rows of 3 x 16" cubes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, does anyone know where online to get 1/2" bulkheads for drains? Apparently, MD, VA, DC does not carry such a thing or know what they are!!! Should I get threaded or slip?

Marinedepot.com has them. If there is a good saltwater fish store near you they should have some. You can also try any boating store near you, they usually have them also.

Threaded is probably better, since it has a strong seal, but make sure to use teflon tape also.

Bulkheads

The Aquarium Center in Randalstown has them they almost always keep them in stock.

I thought of that later and just called them...they only have 2 x 1/2 bulkheads!

They generally get them in pretty quick and probably have them on order. If you get creative you can make your own for about 1.50 use PVC fittings from Home Depot and two washers with a little trim work it takes about 5 min,

I just received 8 from fishsupply.com (mentioned a few posts above) the other day. I only need 4 right now, and could sell you one or two at price. These are 1/2" bulkheads. I could deliver at the next MAD meeting.

BulkHeads

Hi my name is Rich.
I was reading all the post on bulkheads and i also found them on the fish
Site on the above post , i have a question after you put the bulkhead in do you buy a pice for the hose to go over or put a vale on it so you can drain when it get high, and do you put silicone on the bulkhead?.
Any help would be grate.
